    Meet April, the founder, cake decorator and creative behind Guelph Cakes. Real estate agent turned self-taught cake artist, April discovered her passion for cake decorating while creating cakes as a hobby for friends and family. What began as a creative outlet soon blossomed into something much more, as April discovered her signature style in vintage cakes filled with whimsy and old world charm.

    We teamed up with April to bring her signature vintage style to life through a curated collection of her favourite colours and decorating essentials. Handpicked to recreate her timeless designs, The Guelph Cakes x Colour Mill Collection is finally here!

    Creating custom colours is one of April's favourite parts of the decorating process. Her go-to custom shade to create is 'Heirloom Blue'. Here's the recipe so you can mix it up yourself:

    • 3 parts Baby Blue
    • 2 parts Cobalt
    • 1 part Sky Blue
